Urgent Dental Treatment (Weekdays)

Every day there is one dentist with time allocated to see patients requiring urgent treatment.  If you are having problems with your teeth you should ring the clinic between 8.15am and 9am so if necessary you can be seen that day.

Urgent Dental Treatment (Evenings, Weekends and Bank Holidays)

NHS England has legal responsibility for providing dental out of hours services. If you require urgent attention that cannot wait until the clinic re-opens, please call 111 in the first instance.

NHS Dental Helpline

If you are not registered with a dentist and require urgent emergency treatment,  please telephone 111 which is the NHS Helpline.

Advice for unregistered patients requiring NHS Dental Treatment

We are participating in an NHS initiative to help people who have not been able to register with an NHS dentist. We have a limited number of spaces available each week, which will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

At your first appointment with us, the dentist will carry out an examination in order to assess your treatment needs. On arrival at the practice, you will be asked to sign a form to consent to this examination, complete a medical questionnaire and pay a Band 1 charge of £27.40 (unless you are exempt from payment). The dentist may start your treatment at this appointment if time allows. If the dentist is able to complete treatment during this visit without further appointments being necessary, you will be asked to pay the remainder of the Band 2 charge (£47.90) before you leave. Further appointments will be made to complete any treatment necessary. You will be asked to pay the remainder of the Band 2 charge at your first appointment for treatment, if this was not paid at your first visit. If you fail to attend an appointment during your course of treatment, we may not be able to offer further appointments to you.

When your course of treatment at the practice has been completed and you have had your last appointment with us, you will need to register with a dentist or contact 111 if you have an urgent problem. You will not be a registered patient at the practice.
